I confess, I'm fairly new at mindfulness. I agree with the concept, but find it difficult to turn off the chatter in my head. Thich Nhat Hanh has mastered this, and I encourage you to check out his teachings. You may not agree with everything, just take what you can use and ignore the rest. But pay attention to the message of being present in the NOW. Being a martyr, making sacrifices for the future and not appreciating today, can leave you empty inside and even alone. Your loved ones want you in their lives today, they want to make memories today. Please don't take time for granted. Do you ever find yourself on autopilot?
